Psalm 55:1-2
“Give ear to my prayer, O GOD, and hide not yourself from my plea for mercy. Hear me and answer me.”

David pleads with the LORD not to ignore his prayer. He calls for mercy and rescue, pouring out his heart to GOD.
There are times in our lives when it seems that the whole world has tumbled in on us and there is no place to turn and nowhere to go for help. All hope is gone and we are ready to give up. We, like the Psalmist, wish for the wings of a dove so we could fly away into the desert and leave behind all our worries, our afflictions and all our troubles and find the rest we so badly need. —It is then, in these dire circumstances, that we turn to GOD in complete assurance, knowing He will hear us and answer our prayers. Our hearts are filled with anguish and our minds are filled with darkness but we can turn it over to GOD and HE will lift our load. He will lift us from the mire and place our feet on solid ground. He will carry us in HIS arms to a place of safety because He is our refuge. —When life is dark, JESUS is our light. When we seem to be alone and in need of help, we remember that the LORD is near. It is in the midst of the greatest storms of life that we learn the true meaning of trust in the LORD. It is by going through the worst turmoil in life that we know and appreciate the peace of GOD in CHRIST that transcends all understanding. We rejoice in the LORD as He ever guards our hearts and minds in CHRIST JESUS, our Savior.

Prayer:
O GOD, my Heavenly FATHER, I thank You for Your love for me. I don’t deserve to be loved by You because I have done so much to disappoint You in so many ways and I have sinned against You and Your holy will. Yet, in all this You have loved and forgiven me in JESUS CHRIST, and You have lifted me up so I can rejoice and glorify Your good Name to all with whom I come in contact. I need You in my life and Your HOLY SPIRIT in my heart every hour of every day. Empower me to live for You and use me in Your will. Give me wisdom to say words to help others. I pray this in the holy Name of Your Son JESUS CHRIST. Amen. 🙏

Praying For You,
Pastor Wally & Sister Mattie ❤️
