Deuteronomy 5:33
“Walk in obedience to all that the LORD your GOD has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days.”
Genesis 5:21-24 Says that Enoch was a man who walked with GOD until the LORD took him to heaven.
Enoch was not simply a man who walked by faith; he was, in particular, a man who “walked with GOD” (Gen. 5:24). Enoch was pleasing to GOD because he not only lived his life by faith in the GOD of heaven and earth, but he also lived his life in intimate communion with GOD.
"To walk faithfully with GOD" means you have a moment-by-moment awareness that everything you do is for His purpose and glory and not your own. That your actions are all accountable to Him in the end. Therefore, live your life as He would have you live it, in accordance with His will, and for the sake of others before yourself. To walk faithfully with GOD means interacting with the LORD GOD throughout the course of a day, experiencing His presence and power, and receiving His strength and guidance. Our spiritual growth is directly related to our walk with GOD. Walking is a step by step process, and, similarly, the Christian life is a day by day process until the LORD takes us to our eternal home in heaven.
Prayer:
LORD GOD, You have called me to walk in faith: To walk with integrity and in truth, to walk in love and in a manner worthy of Your name. Heeding Your call, I commit myself afresh to follow in the footsteps of my Savior JESUS. GOD my creator, my companion and my LORD, I choose to walk with you today and all the days of my life. In JESUS’ gracious Name, Amen.
Walking with Him,
