John 8:12
JESUS says, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
GOD created light, and in the Bible light is synonymous with GOD. And JESUS is saying that if we follow Him, we will have the LIGHT of LIFE and will not walk in darkness. Following JESUS is more than just following Him, but rather following Him for WHO HE IS.
It says that when you follow JESUS, you have Him as your light in the world of darkness, He is our good shepherd, our guide. CHRIST Is the ultimate GOD-sent sacrifice for our sin, our salvation and the giver of eternal life. JESUS said, “Blessed are those who have not seen me and yet believe.”
Prayer:
"FATHER GOD, how can I ever thank You for the Light of my life? Until my face reflects the light of Your glory from being in Your eternal presence, my Savior JESUS will light my way through this dark world. Thank You for sending Your Light so I could find Your life! I praise and thank You in the holy Name of JESUS, the Light of the world. Amen.
