The Gospel of JESUS CHRIST provides us with an inner peace that surpasses the peace the world offers. If we look to Him with faith, we can experience and feel peace in any circumstance. The Savior said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

The peace that JESUS is talking about is a peace that surpasses all understanding and is received through grace when we have repented and put our trust in Him as Savior and Lord of our lives.

John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble.”

The cross brings about peace between differing people groups who once lived in hostility toward one another. When JESUS reconciles His people to GOD through His death on the cross, He also reconciles His people to one another making real peace available and possible to enjoy.

Matthew 5:9
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of GOD.”

True and lasting peace is not the absence of chaos and crisis, but having the presence of JESUS CHRIST in one’s life.

Prayer…
Heavenly FATHER, I give You all glory today, and counting it all joy to follow You. I come before Your heavenly throne now, to acknowledge You as the Great Shepherd of my life, for I know that only peace will come into my heart, as I settle myself, letting Your SPIRIT take the lead. FATHER, as I seek to do YOUR will for my life today, and look to You for wisdom and direction my steps should take, I pray that perseverance and patience would have their perfect work in me. I place my complete trust in You this day, this gift of life from You, and will patiently wait for You to move on my behalf. I welcome Your peace with love, honor, and respect for the Precious Name of JESUS, Amen.
