(Guilin, Guangxi—July 5, 2020) This morning, officials broke into Enguang Church and China’s Guangxi region and took away elders.
The church members were in the middle of a worship service when the police entered their building and stopped the service. They resisted, but the officers still took all of the elders into a special room. Six were taken to the police station for questioning.
Outside the police station, Christians waited for them to be released.
Update: As of 11:00 a.m. Beijing time on July 6, two of the elders were still being held at the police station. Christians gathered outside the public security bureau to sing hymns, a video of which can be viewed below
