Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Pastor Cao and Mother Cao miss you greatly.

Many believers have unceasingly prayed for Teacher Cao’s freedom and for his health. In response to numerous individuals relentlessly checking on Pastor Cao/Principal Cao’s current situation, the following will update you.

In his letter, Pastor Cao said that he asked his mom to tell his brothers and sisters across the world that if he were sick, the illness would be “disheartening.” He feels healthy, however, and his blood pressure remains normal.

Pastor Cao misses his brothers and sisters in various countries: his friends, students, family members and his elderly mom. He asked his mom to be sure to pass along his regards to folks. He said that in prison, he has not stopped interceding in prayer for the health, peace, and faith of others.

On August 29, Mother Cao wrote:

I have been in Kunming for one and a half months.
On August 3rd and 28th, I traveled to Kunming Prison. I took a “taxi” there and rode the bus back.
The round trip took about 3 hours.

At the prison, I pleaded with officers to please permit me to visit my son, telling them I flew from
Changsha…. Nevertheless, authorities prohibited me from entering the reception room. The
entrance guard and police officer patiently explained to me that due to the pandemic, government
regulations forbid visits….

Mother Cao remained in Kunming for more than 40 days trying to see her beloved son. When her efforts failed to see Pastor Cao, she had to fly back to Changsha.

Wishing you all happiness and peace.

Thankful for God’s amazing grace,

Your friend in the faith of Jesus Christ
