Thank you for your ongoing prayers for Professor Tarfa, his wife Mercy, and the children of Du Merci orphanage.

We were encouraged to hear that 14-year-old Moses (who suffered third degree burns while staying in the government-run children’s home) had a skin graft operation last week. This went well and we are praying for Moses’ ongoing recovery.

Court hearing this Thursday

Following the recent delay caused by a judicial strike, Professor Tarfa’s case returns to court this Thursday 24 June. Please pray:

  • For all charges against Professor Tarfa to be dismissed, and the swift return of all of the children once this occurs.
  • For physical, spiritual and emotional protection for the youngest children who are separated from their siblings.
  • That CSW’s advocacy and campaigning on behalf of the family would be effective.

This family has waited so long to be reunited and while they wait, the children are experiencing mistreatment in government-run homes. Please join us in praying Psalm 62 over the Tarfa family.

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
Psalm 62:5-6
