(Kaili City, Guizhou Province—August 15, 2021) On August 15, Bob Fu, PhD., founder of ChinaAid, posed the question: "Is collecting a Church offering a crime?" Dr. Fu reports that the Kaili People’s Court has sentenced four Christian leaders from a Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kaili City, Guizhou Province for providing a box in the church for tithes and offerings. The Court sentenced the following Church leaders on fully false, fabricated charges of "fraud":

  • Pastor Zhang Wenying [Ms.]: 12 years,
  • Brother Jiang Kui: 6 years,
  • Xie Zhiqun: 5 years, and
  • Sister He Seqin: 3 years.

The Kaili Chinese Communist Party court also confiscated all offerings in the Church bank account, 1.4 million yuan (216,00 USD).

Bring an offering, and come into His courts.
