Opinion: Don’t Let the Bright Lights of the Olympics Blind You to the People Suffering in Its Shadows
ChinaAid President Bob Fu and the Family Research Council's Arielle Del Turco wrote an opinion piece for the Epoch Times about how millions continue to suffer under the Chinese Communist Party's oppression during the Olympics.

Bob and Arielle write "the CCP goes to great lengths to obscure its human rights violations. And the Olympics is a propaganda opportunity like no other. Bringing the most prestigious sporting event in the world to China’s capital undermines efforts to hold the Chinese regime accountable for its behavior."

Pastor Hao Zhiwei Sentenced To Eight Years
ChinaAid's reporting team gave an update on Pastor Hao Zhiwei this week, who was originally arrested for refusing to join the Three-Self government-sanctioned church. Pastor Hao, a house church leader in Ezhou, was sentenced to eight years in jail on February 11th.
"The reason given by the government for her arrest was suspicion of ‘fraud’ because she preached the gospel and received offerings without the approval of ‘The Committee of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Churches’ and ‘The Christian Council.’ According to lawyer Mr. Si Weijiang, her case was probably the first case that a house church pastor was charged with ‘fraud.’"

Please continue to keep Pastor Hao in your prayers, especially as she appeals her sentence.
