Sadly, ChinaAid has learned that Chinese officials forcibly demolished Nanganag Church in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang province on January 11th. Officials said the church was destroyed to build commercial buildings.
Dozens of Chinese police with helmets and masks physically confronted Christians while the demolition team was at work!
One female witness even yelled in a video that police were beating and arresting people!
Did you know that Wenzhou is a city with some of the most Christians in China? In fact, so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ across Zhejiang are so steadfast in the faith - officials took down crosses from more than 1,000 churches in the area between 2014 and 2016 in an attempt to silence the Gospel!
Please keep the entire congregation of Nangang Church in your prayers in the aftermath of this terrible event. But I am sure they will remain resolute in their faith and steadfast in their commitment to the Lord.
We're the first to report on this tragedy - and you can make a gift to ChinaAid to support Nangang Church members and remain at the forefront of a push for freedom in China.
Serving the persecuted with you,
Bob Fu
