Elder Hao Ming refuses to confess
ChinaAid learned that officials are urging Elder Hao Ming of Deyang Qingcaodi Reformed Church to accept the charges against him and change lawyers in exchange for his release. Elder Hao was accused of "fraud" for collecting tithes in a December 2022 court case. More on how Elder Hao plans to not 'betray God.'

Penalties upheld against Shengjia Church
Sadly, officials have upheld penalties against several Shengjia Church members. Several, including Elder Zhu Longfei, were fined for "organizing illegal religious activities" after a May 2023 raid against the congregation. Partner with Shengjia Church's legal team to help advocate for these brave believers!
Pray for all Shengjia Church members and their persecutors.
2023 Lin Zhao Freedom Award announcement
On December 21st, ChinaAid announced that Lawyer Li Yuhan was the 2023 Lin Zhao Freedom Award recipient for her commitment to the rule of law in China. Lawyer Li was sentenced to six years and six months in jail in October 2023 for her work.
