China: Denied bail, despite liver cirrhosis?

Suffering from liver cirrhosis, but denied bail?

 

We've just reported on the tragic rejection of Elder Zhang Chunlei's bail application, even though he was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis at the end of 2023.

 

Disturbingly, this diagnosis comes as a shock to his family and friends as Elder Zhang has no previous record of ANY liver-related illnesses!

Elder Zhang of Guiyang Ren'ai Reformed Church has been detained since March 2021 and was 'tried' for "fraud" and "inciting subversion of state power." And there's still no verdict from Communist officials. 

Did you know on the day of Elder Zhang's trial, no 'witnesses' or 'victims' were permitted to appear in court? And even some investigating police officers agreed that collecing tithe offering money should not constitute fraud!

Please join the Global Body of Christ in prayer for Elder Zhang's immediate healing, and pray for comfort for his family and legal team. Sadly, mysterious liver-related diseases are an increasingly common issue among jailed prisoners of conscience in China. 

 

Even though the detention center still refuses to arrange a physical exam for Elder Zhang, you and I both know that Jesus Christ is a healer! Please also pray for Zhang's persecutors and the Communist officials in charge of his case.
