71-year-old Mr. Zhu Yufu has been imprisoned for over 16 years for the sake of democracy and freedom in China, and his body has suffered many injuries. After his release from prison, he was diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer. In early February of this year, Mr. Zhu Yufu traveled to Japan for treatment. Because most of Mr. Zhu’s family members are in the U.S., through the efforts of various parties, the U.S. government recently approved Mr. Zhu’s application to go to the U.S. for urgent medical treatment and family reunion.
For this reason, Mr. Zhu Yufu specially commissioned ChinaAid to issue the following statement:
“I would like to thank the U.S. government for their humanitarian care, Rev. Bob Fu and the China Aid Association for their tireless efforts and help, and all of friends who generously helped me when I was in the most difficult situation. I have been separated from my family for many years, not to mention suffering from a terminal illness. I thought I would never have the chance to be reunited with my family in this life, but thanks to the Lord’s grace and the efforts of all of you, I had the chance to be reunited with my family, putting an end to the earthly tragedy of being separated from my beloved family and being separated from the rest of the world for several decades, and allowing me to witness the Lord’s miracle of making the almost impossible possible. I pray constantly, believing that the Lord’s grace is sufficient and that it will not be Satan or the forces of evil that will dominate everything on earth. Thank you all again! By Zhu Yufu”
